The brand new attraction of Budapest

Duna Arena

Duna Arena will serve as the key venue and peculiarity of the 17th FINA World Championships. Constructions of the world class swimming and aquatic complex (of two Olympic-size pools and a competition capacity of over 12 000 spectators) have been delivered in less than two years (in record time).

Duna Arena is comprised of two facilities practically: a base building with a capacity of about 6000 persons and a temporary facility featuring temporary grandstands and service facilities for the World Championships period. The base building has been designed so that it would continue to be an impressive complex even when the temporary facility is removed. It shall be highlighted that the guiding principle of planning and delivery was environmental consciousness and sustainability since the majority of temporary elements will be used afterwards in different venues.
